Marilyn B. Both ObituaryMarilyn B. Both age 89. Beloved wife of the late Louis Both. Loving mother of the late Deborah and the late Brian Both. Dearest grandmother of Rocco (Jill) Both and the late Luigi (Laura) Both. Dear great-grandmother of Jason, Josh, Juliana, Gianni, Dale, and Esther Both. Fond sister of the late Elaine (Leon) Rinehart and late Billie Johnson. Dear aunt of Carolyn, Mickie, and Martin Rinehart and David and Kathy Haller.
Marilyn was born and raised on the North side of Chicago. In the late 80's, the Both, Johnson, and Rinehart families bought an apartment complex in the South suburbs in which each family would occupy one apartment each. The family has always been close, and this truly showed with this move.
Marilyn was a member of The Community Renewal Society Chorus, which traveled outside of the United States, as well as The Moraine Valley Community College Chorus Group, as music and singing were a big part of her life. She was also in the choir at Nazareth United Church of Christ for many years. Marilyn also spent over 20 years providing patient services at the Oak Forest Hospital.
She enjoyed gatherings with her "Club" which consisted of her sisters as well as many close friends.
Marilyn loved to travel not only in the United States, but also abroad to see various cities and landmarks. She has touched the lives of numerous people, and we are very proud to have been able to call her our grandmother, great grandmother, mother, aunt, and wife.
She will be missed greatly by all.
Visitation Thursday October 20th, 2:00 to 8:00 PM and Funeral services Friday October 21st, 11:30 AM at Tohle Funeral Home 4325 W. Lawrence Ave. Chicago, IL 60630. Interment Ridgewood Cemetery
