Carol A. Both, age 81, of Fox Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Northwestern Hospital, McHenry. Carol was born Friday, June 25, 1943, in Chicago to Frank and Elizabet (Trampiets) Dapper. Later in life she went on and married the love of her life, William Both.
Carol was a longtime resident of Fox Lake and formerly of Spring Grove. She was employed at Jewel-Osco in McHenry for 12 years where she worked in the cosmetic department. Carol enjoyed fishing, playing solitaire on the computer and horseback riding in her youth. She was a loving mom and doting grandma. Carol was truly the heart of her family, guiding them with her love, faith, and strong spirit. She was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. May all that knew her be comforted by the many memories of her care, strength, and the wisdom she shared
Survived by her son, Jason (Mary) Miklitsch; stepchildren, Danny Both and Angie Both; grandson, Gregory (Maria) Miklitsch; sister, Betty Costello.
Preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Herbert Miklitsch; husband, William Both; sister, Barbara Marks; great-grandson, Cayden.
Friends and neighbors may gather on Saturday, August 31, 2024, from 1: 00 p.m. until the 3:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service at Thompson Spring Grove Funeral Home, 8103 Wilmot Road, Spring Grove, IL. service.
