Craig Landes Chapman Sr., 75, of London, passed away Friday, August 25, 2023. Craig was born January 23, 1948, in Wooster, Ohio, the son of Harold Charles and Maxine Ruth (Landes) Chapman.
Craig was a 1966 graduate of VanBuren High School. Upon completion of high school, he went to live in Detroit, Michigan working for Delta Airlines. Not long after that, Craig was drafted and served two years in the United States Army in Vietnam. In 1971 Craig met the love of his life Debra and they married in 1972. He worked for over 20 years for Interstate Construction before retiring. He enjoyed woodworking and the last piece he made was a one-of-a-kind toy box for his grandson Jakob. Spending time with his family was his number one priority, especially the time spent with his grandson.
Craig is survived by his loving wife of 51 years: Debra Ann (Farias) Chapman; Son: Joseph (Katherine) Chapman; Siblings: James (Lois) Chapman, Bryan (Kathy) Chapman, and LuAnn (Chris) Wallace; Grandson: Jakob Henry Chapman; Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Craig is preceded in death by his Parents; Son: Craig "Chappy" Chapman Jr.; and Uncle: Earl Landes.
The family invites friends to call at the Lynch Family Funeral Home, 124 E. High Street, London, Ohio, 43140, Tuesday, August 29, 2023, from 10:00am to 11:00am with a funeral service to immediately follow at 11:00am. Interment service will follow at Paint Township Cemetery, 1869 Old Xenia Road, London, Ohio 43140.
Craig's funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Lynch Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
