Craig Michael DeJaynes, age 53, passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025. He was born on May 20, 1972, in Galesburg, Illinois. Craig was a graduate of Sherman E. Burroughs High School in Ridgecrest, California. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and traveled the world. His lifetime career included working as a Certified Auto Mechanic and a Commercial Truck Driver, logging more than a million miles traveling throughout the United States. Craig was an extremely hard-working man who loved his family intensely and was a loyal friend to everyone who was close to him. Immediate surviving family members include his mother and step-father, Liddell and Lloyd Swanson of Le Claire, IA; father and step-mother, Mike and Ainee DeJaynes of Abingdon, IL; sister, Kimberly (DeJaynes) Licon of Pinehurst, NC; brother, Anthony DeJaynes of Abingdon, IL; and brother, Colby Swanson of Eminence, MO. Craig was the father of five children, Nicholas, Craig Jr, Alyssa, and Abigail DeJaynes, all of California City, CA, and Chase DeJaynes of Eminence, MO. Craig will be greatly missed by all of those who knew and loved him. No services are planned at this time. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Yarber Mortuary, Eminence, Missouri.
