Craig A. Derk, 65, of Winfield, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2025, at Evangelical Community Hospital due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

He was born in Williamsport, a son of the late William and Donna (Stroup) Derk. On April 23, 1988, he married the love of his life, Kathryn J. Derk, who survives him.

Craig was a graduate of Dauphin County Vo-Tech. He worked for a majority of his life as a Project Manager for Merk Construction and Zartman Construction.

Craig was a devoted member of Sunbury Bible Church and an active participant in both the New Berlin American Legion Riders and the VFW Riders District 15. He had a passion for motorcycles, enjoyed boating, ice cream, and always had a project in the works. He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, love of the open road, and deep devotion to his family and community.

In addition to his wife Kathryn, Craig is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Stephanie and Josh Burkholder, and Jessica and Chris Bigger; and his sister and brother-in-law, Terri and Joe Miller.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27, from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. at Sunbury Bible Church, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 p.m., with Pastors Preston Atkinson and Steve Porschet officiating.

Interment will follow at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery.

A celebration of life will take place at the American Legion Post 44 in Northumberland starting at 4 pm.

Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King Street, Northumberland.
