Craig E. Hart ObituaryCraig E. Hart, of Delta, entered into rest peacefully at UM Upper Chesapeake Medical Center Bel Air on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at the age of 64. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Ann Hart, who died on January 4, 2014.
Craig was born on December 16, 1960, in Baltimore, to the late Vernon M. and Carol Ann (Harrison) Hart. After graduating from Kennard Dale High School, Craig became a machinist, and his work often took him on worldly travels. In his younger years, he took up flying lessons at Brogue Airport. This passion turned into a lifelong hobby of building intricate RC model cars, military tanks, airplanes and drones – which he reveled in flying. After retiring in the early 2000s, he devoted much of his time to that same hobby. He was also an avid coin collector and found joy in keeping an immaculate yard, especially mowing the lawn. At home, he was happiest with a good project to work on, with his faithful dog, Brudis, close by. They were two peas in a pod.
He is survived by his daughter, Amber L. Payne, and her husband, Steven, of Elkton. Craig was preceded in death by his son, Chad Hart, on July 31, 2007. He is also survived by Ryan D. Lloyd who was Chad's best friend and whom Craig loved like a son, along with Ryan's wife, Carly, of New Freedom. Craig is survived by his two brothers, Ronald Hart and his wife Lisa, and Barry Hart and his wife Sue, all of Airville; and by his sister, Kama Boeckel, and her husband Jeff, of Delaware. Craig will also be lovingly remembered by his many nieces and nephews, as well as his maternal aunt and uncle, Joyce and Chet Johnson, of Virginia. He was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra L. Baker Hart, in 1999.
A viewing for Craig will take place on Friday, August 1, 2025, starting at 10:00 am at Harkins Funeral Home, 600 Main Street,
