Obituary of Craig Robert Holland
Craig Robert "Bob" Holland passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024, surrounded by his wife and friends. Bob was born to Robert and Audrey Holland on December 29, 1946 in Saint Paul, MN. He grew up in Omaha, Nebraska with his 2 brothers and one sister. He enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam as a Combat Helicopter Pilot and was also a Sky Crane Helicopter Pilot. He served for 2 tours from 1967 to 1971. Bob served in the MN National Guard and the Alaska National Guard. While in Alaska, he received his B.A and his M.A. Bob had a variety of occupations including flying airplanes for Air link, Insurance agent, a school bus driver, and driving instructor for students. Roseville Covenant Church was Bob's home church for many years, where he met and married his wife Bonnie in 2009. Together they enjoyed road trips, reading and eating out. They were avid fans of the MN twins. Shortly after their marriage, Bob developed Alzheimer's and Lewy Body Disease. Bonnie was his caregiver at home for several years, and also provided support and advocacy once he moved to Lyngblomsten Care Center in Saint Paul.
Bob is survived by his wife Bonnie; His Children Jessica (Jeff) Ouimette, and Anna (Jon) Roffers; His Grandchildren Aubrey and Cooper; One Brother Michael(Lenne); One Sister Barbara Holland; and many other family members and friends.
He is Preceded in death by his Parents Robert and Audrey; and Brother Keith.
Bob's favorite book of the Bible was the Gospel of John, which Bonnie read to him frequently over the last few years. Bob loved the Lord with all his heart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 8th, 2024 at 9:00 AM at Roseville Covenant Church, 2865 Hamline Ave N, Roseville, MN. 10:00 Service and lunch following. After lunch, Bob will be laid to rest at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Roseville Covenant Church.
