Pamela J. Webber, age 74, of Rosemount, MN, passed peacefully Sunday morning June 29, 2025, into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous 14-month battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. Pam spent her last 6 weeks of life at The Pillars Hospice Home in Oakdale, MN. The entire family is grateful for the care and compassion of the staff and the beauty of the grounds. Pam was able to enjoy the outdoor beauty on several occasions as the facility was built to allow for patient's beds to be moved onto a large deck.
Pam was born on April 16, 1951, in
St. Paul, MN, the oldest of three children to William and Priscilla (Hazzard) Webber.
During Pam's early years, along with her 2 brothers, the family moved 4 times, living in Portland, Oregon; Scranton, Pennsylvania; and Spokane, Washington; before returning to Minnesota in 1962. Pam began 6th grade in Rosemount, MN, graduating in 1969. After High school Pam attended UW River Falls, graduating in 1974 with a bachelor's degree in biology. The summer between her freshman and sophomore year, Pam and her friend and roommate Rose worked in Yellowstone National Park. On their one day off each week they would hitchhike around the park in order to see the majestic sites. The ability to reach a variety of areas allowed them to hike a number of different trails.
During their second summer, they interned in Park Falls, Wisconsin for the Forrest Service, taking water samples from streams, rivers, and lakes, which included monitoring water clarity and sediment.
After graduating from UWRF, Pam worked at Playmobil Toys in Minnesota. When Playmobil was purchased by a German company, Pam was laid off. A part of their severance allowed workers to attend further education. Pam chose to study accounting and during this period of returning to school, Pam also worked at JCPenney's in Burnsville. After completing her schooling she got a job working for the Minnesota Racing Commission, at Canterbury Park. Pam's duties included being the Office Manager and Breeders Fund Administrator. She was also responsible for the registration of all mares, stallions and foals for the purpose of the breeding program for horses racing in Minnesota. She remained working there until her retirement.
Pam's life was marked by many things; most importantly her love for Jesus and her family, and helping wherever and whenever she could. Her absence will be felt not just by her family and friends but also by her church (The Well in Rosemount, MN where she attended since 1962). Pam was active on numerous committees and volunteer organizations that she belonged to over the years. She was especially passionate about outreaches and ministries that cared for children. She was a generous woman in every way.
Pam thoroughly enjoyed assisting the great nieces and great nephews with their studies as well as memory work for Bible Quizzing. She also enjoyed initiating every family holiday gathering. Pam will be greatly missed by all who loved her. Her absence will be felt at the annual Girl's Fall Getaway with her nieces, great nieces, and sister in law Lois, as well as her annual getaway with her college roommate Rose.
She is survived by her brothers Rick Webber (Lois) of Hudson, WI and Chuck Webber of Victor, MT; nieces Leann (Seth) Belz of Star Prairie, WI, Jessica (Joshua) Stein of River Falls, WI, and 11 great nieces and great nephews: Zoe (Josh), Jasmine, Eve, Eli, Liam, Micah, Asher, Hannah, Charity, Noah, Ezra and countless friends. Pam is preceded in death by her Grandparents and Parents.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at The Well, 14770 Canada Ave W Rosemount, MN with Pastor Chad Gilbertson officiating. Visitation will be held at 10 AM prior to the service and a lunch will be served after the service.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to
Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child.
