Craig Stewart Kreismer

1941–2025

On Saturday, September 6, 2025, Craig Stewart Kreismer passed away

peacefully at the age of 84 in his bed at Clyde E. Lassen State Veterans Nursing

Home in Saint Augustine, Florida, surrounded by family.

Born July 16, 1941 as a loving son to Milton and Elizabeth Kreismer (née Wilson)

Craig served in the United States Army in Korea as a military policeman from

1959 to 1961. Following his military service, he spent 25 years as Dairy Manager

for Tuscan Milk Company in Union, New Jersey, before he finally retired to

Milbridge, Maine as a lobster fisherman. A lifelong hard worker and ardent union

supporter, Craig took pride in his work and in supporting his family.

Craig was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Suzanne Mae Kreismer (née

Rumery) for 55 years before her passing. He is survived by his daughter, Debra

Anne Burke (née Kreismer) and her husband Thomas Michael Burke, his son

Craig David Kreismer, and his grandchildren, Jason Aaron Burke, Harleigh Mae

Burke, Beckett Kreismer, and Maya Kreismer. He was preceded in death by wife

Suzanne Kreismer, sisters Elizabeth Kennedy (née Kreismer) and Millicent Borre

(née Kreismer), and brother Milton Kreismer.

Through his life, Craig loved weight lifting, enjoyed bowling, lobster fishing, and

vacationing in Florida with his best friend and wife Suzanne. Known for a wry

smile and witty conversation, he was a serious man who still had a sense of

humor. He will be dearly missed.

Craig will have a private service with his immediate family at an as yet

unspecified date.
