~ If Christ is raised nothing else matters. If Christ is not raised nothing matters.

Craig Alan La Chance, 74, of Moorpark, CA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on September 14, 2025. Born on December 20, 1950 in Los Angeles, CA, Craig lived a life of devotion to God and his family.

Craig proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for two years, embodying honor and courage. Following his service, he dedicated 33 years to protecting and serving others as a member of the Ventura County Fire Department, from which he retired with distinction.

A man of deep faith he began attending Grace Community Church in the mid 70's, and was baptized by Pastor John, an event that marked the beginning of a deeper, more profound faith. As a steadfast follower of Jesus Christ his life was marked by service, humility, and a heart fully committed to honoring the Lord in all that he did. He lived as a testimony to God's love and grace.

Blessed with two God-honoring marriages. Jessica, his first wife of 36 years who preceded him in death after a courageous battle with cancer. And Jude, who God literally brought to his front door to share nearly 19 wonderful years of marriage together. Craig is survived by his wife Jude, and her children Jonathan and Jinny Liechti. His daughter, Amber (Steven) Way, his two grandsons, Tyler and Cole (Julie) Way. A sister, Diane (Mark) Kroeker. A sister, Eileen (Charles) Cannon, preceded him in death.

Craig's legacy is one of honoring God in all things. His memory will live on in the lives of those who were blessed to know him, and his example of Christ-centered living will continue to inspire.

A celebration of Craig's life will be held on October 16, 2025 at 1pm at Grace Community Church chapel with Mike Riccardi officiating

everything he does into God's hands

will see the the hand of God

in everything he does.
