Bellingham, Washington - Born on November 18, 1956, in Bellingham, WA, to parents Ralph and Bernice (Moore) Lingbloom, Craig passed away on July 2, 2024. The sixth of seven children, Craig grew up on Lake Whatcom in the Silver Beach neighborhood.
He was a respected contractor known for his craftsmanship in building homes. Craig not only built a home for himself, but also dedicated his skills to constructing homes for various family members. His passion for woodworking was evident in the care and detail he put into his projects.
In addition to his career, Craig was a generous and helpful individual who always lent a hand whenever anyone needed help around the house. His warm personality and willingness to help left a lasting impact on those around him.
Craig's fond memories include snorkeling for crawdads and cooking them on the beach below his home, fishing off the trestle, skiing on glassy waters at south Lake Whatcom, and riding horses with his brother Bill to the lake during childhood. His love for family was apparent in every aspect of his life, whether it was fishing outings or spending quality time with loved ones. Craig was a good sport and fun to be around.
His hobbies and interests ranged from woodworking and carving to photography, fishing, and being a family historian. Craig had a knack for preserving memories through photographs and storytelling-a trait that endeared him to many.
Craig is survived by his brothers, Bill and Tom; sister, Sandy; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jackie and Wendy; and brother, Joey.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, July 17, at Bayview Cemetery in Bellingham.
His legacy of craftsmanship, generosity, and love for family will forever be cherished by those who knew him. May he rest in peace.
