Arthur married Victoria Newton on July 7, 2007, on Whidbey Island, WA.
He was a franchise consultant with the Maaco Company traveling around the United States helping new start-up auto body shops with building development.
Art treasured being a part of the Lynden Lions Club family and through the Lions Club International Foundation, he received the Melvin Jones Fellow Humanitarian Award. Art also enjoyed the Fourth Corner Elites Car Club, vintage cars, photography, motorcycles, sailing and travel.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki, children Paul (Yvonne), Jeff, David (Amy), and Dan, and 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by his sister Patti (Rob).
Art is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jodie and brother Michael.
He will be missed by all who knew him. Memorial donations may be made to the Lynden Lions Club, P.O. Box 977, Lynden WA 98264.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Thursday evening, April 9, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the United Methodist Church, Lynden.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Gillies Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
