Thomas R. Van Allen, 78
Thomas Van Allen of Lake Wales went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at AdventHealth Lake Wales.
Thomas was born on April 2, 1947, in Little Falls, New York to Ray Van Allen and Ellen Wesselman.
Thomas was an Electrical Technician for General Motors. He loved motorcycles and technology, specifically phones and computers. Thomas was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lake Wales and loved his time as a Sunday School teacher and small group leader, mentoring many youth over the years. He served God first, as well as his country in the United States Army.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents, and his wife Pamela Van Allen; He is survived by his brother, Gary Van Allen and wife Carol of Clinton, New York; Niece, Sherry Jasinski and husband Larry of North Tonawanda, New York; Nephews, Michael Van Allen and wife Michelle of Tonawanda, New York, James Van Allen and wife Donnette of Parkersburg, West Virginia; and many great nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at First Baptist Church of Lake Wales, service dates and times pending. Interment will take place at White Chapel Memorial Park in Amherst, New York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to The Samaritan’s Purse (P.O. Box 3000, Boone, NC 28607). Condolences may be sent to the family at www.marionnelsonfuneralhome.com.
