Craig A. Millett
Craig Alan Millett, 56, of Cape Coral, Florida, and
Biddeford, Maine, passed away unexpectedly in a boating accident on November 29, 2025, in Cape Coral, Florida.
He was born in
Portland, Maine, on September 6, 1969, a son of Kenneth and Paulette (Desilets) Millett. He was a graduate of Old Orchard Beach High School.
Craig enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve his country. After the service, Craig enrolled in East Coast Aero Technical School. He also worked for the Portland Jetport while in school.
At the age of 19, Craig joined the family business, Champagne's Propane/Champagne's Energy. He served as Vice President for many years until the company was sold in 2020 to Superior Propane, leaving an incredible impact, and cherished by the many people who worked for him over the years. Following the sale of the company, Craig also built Colonial Storage Solutions, a self-storage facility in Old Orchard Beach, Maine, another family business operated alongside his wife, Brenna, and sons Nolan and Dante.
Craig married his wife, Brenna (Laverierre) Millett, on November 11, 2016. The couple continued a beautiful life together, living in
Biddeford, Maine, while also constructing their second home, spending the winters in Cape Coral, Florida, beginning in 2021.
Craig had many exciting hobbies, but his favorite pastimes were boating, motorcycling, traveling, and anything fast, all of which he enjoyed with his family and friends. Craig poured his energy into his family and friends. Craig also loved time spent with his Cocker Spaniel, "George", whom he and Brenna had had for 14 years. These relationships were most important to him. This wisdom shaped his life and the lives of all who knew him.
Craig was also known for his generosity. He had a heart for serving others and gave much of his time to the Family Initiative Project in the Cape Coral region, which provided support to children with Autism.
He is survived by his parents, Kenneth and Paulette Millett; one son, Nolan Millett; one stepson, Dante Reali; and his step-siblings Doreen, Bryan, Kenny Jr., and Sharon.
