It´s been a very long year without my friend Craig.
I still have to stop myself from sending him text messages, something I did almost daily for 7 years (Sometimes I hit "send" anyway, in case He still has reception in Heaven).
Craig´s phone always autocorrected him, when he would type "XOXO" it changed to "COCO" . He finally stopped fixing the mistake and would end his messages from then on with "coco" instead. Being silly one night, I began to end my messages to him with "nuts".
This is how we came to know that if we said "coconuts" it meant "I love you".
Coconuts to my friend Craig!

Craig and I have been friends for a lot of years. We met at mutual friends gatherings, and I just loved his care free vibe. We used to do a lot of fun things together. He was always down for an adventure and willing to share some of his best get away places. He introduced me to a lot of beautiful places. I loved that he was sporty and mechanical. He was great to tinker with when I couldn't figure things out on my own. Always helpful with my cars, my motorcycle or heck anything I owned with an engine. I will miss living with him and his breakfast specials. Yum! I already missed those but nobody makes a good biscuit from scratch like my friend Craig could. I know I have him grief about the mandolin while we lived together but I honestly admired he was willing to learn something new. Even if what the same song for months at long hours of rehearsal :) ! My deepest condolences to the family. Rest easy my friend. You lived the life you wanted!

Craig was my best friend. He was always going out of his way for me when I was in need, of anything large or small. Rarely, did he ask for something in return. I adored how much he loved his mother, a great quality in a person. Craig never spoke ill about those around him, communicating instead with a kind heart, big bright smile and sparkling eyes that never failed to bring joy and laughter to any group of people he joined. I love my friend Craig. I wish I could lose one more game of cribbage to him so I could thank him for taking such wonderful care of me and our friendship all these years.
