Craig Smith Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Aspen Mortuaries - Arvada on Jun. 11, 2025.
Craig Smith, born on March 25, 1959, in Denver, Colorado, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025. He was a loving son, devoted brother, and cherished uncle who left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Craig was preceded in death by his parents, Hedley and Carol Smith. He is survived by three brothers and their spouses; Brent (Nancy), Mark (Janice), and Matthew, along with 12 nieces and nephews. Craig was a long time employee of King Soopers. Craig had an unwavering passion for music, boasting an extensive collection of albums, cassettes, and CDs that brought joy to his life and those around him. He was an avid skier, facing the slopes with the fearlessness of a true enthusiast. Perhaps most notably, Craig was known within his family as the best golfer, often competing against his father with skill and good humor. Beyond his passions and hobbies, including love of his VW, Craig's warmth and generosity shone brightest in his interactions with others. He approached everyone with kindness, exemplifying the values of honesty and respect. Whether engaging in deep conversation or sharing a laugh, he had a unique ability to connect with those around him, creating a lasting impression on all who crossed his path. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for his unwavering support to loved ones. May his memory continue to inspire kindness and compassion in all of us.
Craig's family and friends will gather on Saturday August 16 @ 11:00 AM to honor his life and the profound impact he had on others. The gathering will be at the Old Historic Rockland Church, 24225 Rockland Road, Golden, CO. 80401, with a reception following.
