It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Cresencia Bondoc on March 21, 2025. Born in Manila, Philippines on May 31, 1946, Cresencia lived a life filled with adventure, service and deep faith. Alongside her beloved husband, Marcelino Bondoc, she traveled and worked in Iran and Jordan before immigrating to the United States in 1986. Cresencia's professional career culminated in her role as Assistant to the Provincial at the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus in New York City where she served faithfully until her retirement. Prior to that she was an Executive Assistant at the United Federation of Teachers headquarters in Manhattan.
A devout woman of faith, Cresencia was a dedicated member of the Lord of Pardon Prayer Group from 1988 to 2019, both in Bulusan, Philippines, and in the United States. Her dedication as a devotee and missionary of Sto Niño, the Blessed Mother, and the Crucifix were further testament to her unwavering faith. Her beautiful voice graced the Vigil Choir at St.Joseph Parish Church where she shared her love of music and worship.
She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Marcelino, her son, Enrique Delgado, daughter-in-law, Odessa Delgado, and her cherished grandchildren, Faith and Noah.
Cresencia will be remembered for her honest nature and willingness to speak her mind. Her straightforward approach and genuine expression of her thoughts was a characteristic that earned the respect of those around her. She leaves behind a legacy of authenticity, service, and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends.
Funeral service will be held on March 30, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at JOSEPH W. SORCE Funeral Home, 728 West Nyack Rd, West Nyack, NY 10994.
