Cristina Sophia passed away at the age of 32 years young on October 8, 2024. She was born and raised in San Diego and lived within the community of Mira Mesa. Cristina went to elementary school at Good Shepherd Catholic School and Ericson Elementary School. Her formative years were spent at Wagenheim Middle School and Mira Mesa High School. After high school she attended and graduated cosmetology school at Bellus Academy.
Cristina loved being at the beach and swimming in the ocean. She loved to tie dye and do various arts and crafts. Cristina also loved to travel to visit family and friends and loved to camp anywhere there was a beach, lake, or river. She was not born during the height of "classic rock", but she knew the lyrics to any and all artists of the genre from listening to them with her dad. They knew the only way to enjoy it was at maximum volume!
While in elementary school Cristina took up Hawaiian Hula dance and in high school she was a member of the color guard. Both of these activities allowed her to perform with her groups at various functions and festivals, including the San Diego County Fair and at Disneyland.
Cristina loved to be with her loud family and friends at any type of party or family gathering. We would all play games, cards, and laugh hysterically at the silliest and most ridiculous things. She always, always had a vibrant smile on her face.
Cristina is survived by her mother Patti, her brother Tommy, sister-in-law Nicole, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Randy, and many cousins in California, Colorado, and Iowa. She is precede in death by her father Tom, as well as her maternal and paternal grandparents.
A private Celebration of Life will be held for Cristina.
