Obituary of Cristina M. Morano

Cristina M. Morano, 56, of Howell passed away on Friday, September 5, 2025 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune. She was born and raised in Passaic and then moved to Howell where she remained for the rest of her life. After earning her Associate's Degree at Brookdale Community College, Cris became a familiar face in the area working as a pharmacy tech at Drug Fair and Walgreens in Howell, and later at Dollar General Store in Jackson. She volunteered her time to the Howell Soccer Club where she acted as commissioner. Cris loved the outdoors, especially laying out by the pool or spending time at Belmar Beach. She always made sure there was color in her life - from fresh paint on the walls to brightly colored paint on her nails. Cris will be remembered as a wonderful mother, daughter, sister and friend by all who mourn this loss.

She was predeceased by her father, Samuel J. Morano; and dear friends, Michelle Friedman and Gary Pope. Cris is survived by her sons, Vinny Martin and his wife, Mary Stiger, Matt Martin and his fiancée, Ashlei Heron, and Joe Martin and his fiancée, Bridgette Emm; mother, Betty "Twink" Morano; siblings, Steven Morano and his wife, Corinne Mason, Sam Morano and his wife, Laurie, and John Morano and his partner, Jennifer Pellegrino; nephew and nieces, Nick, Morgan and Gabriella; aunts, uncles and cousins; and too many friends to count.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, September 11, 2025 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 9:00 AM for the procession to her 10:00 AM Funeral Mass at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 31 Asbury Road, Farmingdale. Interment will follow in St. Michael's Cemetery, 120 Saddle River Road, South Hackensack. For those who desire, memorial contributions in Cristina's name may be made to Pennies in Action Foundation, 3100 Dutton Mill Road, Aston, PA 19014 or HERE.
