Crystal Marie Arel, 63, of Cabot Arkansas, left this world on Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at 11:10 pm, surrounded by many of her loved ones. She was born October 30, 1961 in Othello, Washington to Judith M. Wright and Robert L. Miller. Crystal was preceded in death by her father.
Left to Cherish her memory are her husband, James R. Arel Jr.; her five children, Joshua D. Keith (Tiffany), Tyler S. Keith, Taryn A. Frazier (Brett), Chandler M. Arel (Britney), and stepdaughter Christie Keith; seven grandchildren, Jazmine, Leana, Riley, Sarah, Shayna, Jayden, and Kinlee, and one great-grandchild, Linus; her mother, Judy Turner; one sister, Tamara Miller; two brothers, Rick Kraft and Greg Gouveia; her hound dog, Daisy; and three grand dogs, Beckham, Nymeria, and Salem, as well as many extended family members and friends.
Crystal proudly served her country for ten years in the United States Air Force as a Crew Chief and later a medic. After separating from the Air Force, she continued to serve as a military spouse, no easy task. She served passionately to support her community on and off base at every location they served. She also worked in various jobs including as a hospital ward clerk, and medical assistant. She loved the hospital environment; it was always her first love of work.
As a friend she was kind, warm, and her strong spirit and drive inspired so many around her. Many recall sharing laughs over quilting tables or biscuits at teatime.
As a mother, she was fiercely loyal and devoted to her children. Her children joked that there wasn't much that they could do that mom wouldn't be there with open arms to bail them out. She was so proud of all of them.
As a Yaya she was fun to be around, and her grandchildren always knew they would be welcome. She was mischievous to one and all and nobody was safe from her pranks, the grandchildren thought that their Yaya was a "good crazy".
As a wife, she was fiercely loyal and strong of spirit. She loved her husband deeply and worked tirelessly to show it. She worked to create a warm and loving home for family and friends. Over thirty-two years of marriage she and her husband built a life together raising four wonderful children.
She will be remembered as a strong, spirited and determined woman who loved the people in her life deeply.
Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 21, 2024, at Moore's Funeral Home in Cabot, 501-843-5816.

Crystal was a very warm, welcoming and sweet person, and she and her family suffered greatly with this terrible disease. May she rest in peace and her loved ones be comforted by their memories of her.
