Crystal Louise Carman Corn: 1938-2025
Crystal Corn; loving wife, mother, and great friend to many; peacefully began her final journey on July 31st 2025 in Phoenix, AZ with her family and friends present. A visitation will be held on Saturday October 25th at 9am at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home 2609 S. Main, Roswell, NM 88201. The funeral service will follow visitation at 10am at Anderson Bethany Funeral Home Chapel. Crystal was born on February 2nd, 1938 in Oklahoma City to Corbett and Wilmeth Carman. She was a scholar from a young age with a desire to pursue a career as an educator. She obtained her Degree in Education from ENMU and became an elementary school teacher in the Roswell public school system. Her desire to provide the most excellent education for all children led her to obtain her Master of Education with an emphasis in Reading. She then transitioned her teaching career into specializing in both gifted and remedial reading programs for the whole of the Roswell school system. This would comprise the rest of her teaching career until her retirement. She will be remembered by many students whose lives she influenced during her career as a teacher.
Crystal was always committed to her own religious and spiritual life; studying religion and philosophy into her later years. In her retirement she spent much time with her family and grandson, Thomas. After the passing of her beloved husband, William Bowden Corn, she moved to Phoenix, AZ to be closer to family and caretakers.
Surviving to cherish Crystal's memory are her daughters Dr. Christa Corn of Phoenix, AZ, Cheryl Corn of Wilmington, DE, and grandson Thomas Corn of Phoenix, AZ.
