Crystal Fernicola

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Crystal Darling Fernicola, age 55, of Toms River, NJ, who passed away peacefully on August 18th, 2024, surrounded by her children.
Crystal was born on February 11th, 1969, in Detroit, MI, to Van Darling Sr. and Phyllis Ann James. She was a proud graduate of the Rayen High School class os 88'. She was the beloved mother of 7 and a devoted grandmother to 18 grandchildren, who were the light of her life. Her family meant everything to her, and she dedicated her life to creating a warm, loving home where her children and grandchildren could thrive.
Crystal's love for her family was boundless. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and comfort, with a heart full of love and a spirit that was unshakeable. Her home was a gathering place where everyone felt welcome, and her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on through her children and grandchildren.
Crystal leaves to cherish her beautiful legacy her 7 children: Cassondra Ortiz (Jonah), Terry Perry Jr. (Micheala), Jurrell Perry (Sarah), CraTerra Barnett (Kevin), Caniqua Thaxton (Tyshon), Turrelle Perry, and Anastasia Fernicola and her 18 cherished grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. She also reared her niece Shanay Jacobs.
She also leaves to mourn her passing her Step-Father James Easton Sr. her siblings: Van Darling, James (Janet) Easton Tamala Haynes, and Yeshon (Kendra) Avery, and a host of neices, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and a nephew Van Darling III (Mini Van).
