Crystal McWhorter Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Clark Legacy Center - Frankfort on Feb. 26, 2026.
Crystal Genevieve Carter McWhorter, 70, of Middleburg, passed away on February 13, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, unforgettable perseverance and joy.

Born on December 18, 1955, Crystal truly lived up to her name - she was a gem to everyone who knew her. She had a heart of gold and never met a stranger. If you crossed her path, you were likely greeted with warmth, conversation, and before long, she'd remember your birthday too. She had a rare gift for making people feel seen, remembered, and loved.

Crystal loved to sing and dance, and she brought energy and light into every room she entered. Whether it was music playing in the background or a family gathering filled with laughter, she was often at the center - smiling, moving, and making memories. Above all else, she deeply loved her children and grandchildren. They were her greatest pride and her greatest joy.

She is survived by her daughter, Crystal Jones (Mark Cooper); her three sons, Thomas Butts, Shawn Jones, and Stephen Jones; her two granddaughters, Tatum Faircloth and Marlee Cooper; her grandson, Silas Cooper; and her sister-in-law and lifelong friend, Geraldine Whittaker. Each of them carries forward her love, her spirit, and her strength.

Crystal's life was a beautiful reminder that kindness costs nothing and love means everything. She will be missed beyond measure but remembered in every song sung, every dance shared, and every birthday remembered.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Black Pond Baptist Church (located at 3644 Old Jennings Road, Middleburg, Florida 32068) on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Everyone what cared for her are encouraged to come, dressed in Pink, to say goodbye and share your memories of her that will live on
