Crystal Lynn Mueller

CRYSTAL LYNN MUELLER, 63, of Chester, Illinois, passed away at 12:23 pm, Saturday, February 24, 2024 at SIH Memorial Hospital, Carbondale, Illinois.
She was born to the late Douglas Wayne Higgerson and Janet Elizabeth (nee Pigford) Eggemeyer on February 17, 1961 in Sparta, Illinois.
Crystal married Van Mueller on June 22, 1987; he survives.
She had worked as a support service worker and supervisor at Chester Mental Health for 25 years.
Crystal was raised with strong religious values. She enjoyed fishing and taking rides with Van. She also loved tending to her hummingbirds and flowers. Crystal loved music and singing but mostly she loved to spend time with Van and their children and grandchildren. In 2009, Crystal survived a double brain aneurysm and beat the odds to survive another 15 years. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.

It was Crystal's wish to be cremated. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Paradise Cemetery in Steeleville with Don Berry officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Chester Eagles.
Memorials may be made to Family Choice and are being accepted at Pechacek Funeral Home in Chester.
