Born March 6, 1974, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Donald E. and Catherine (Carmer) Shuler.
Crystal worked at DSI (Developmental Services Inc) in Jennings County. She was baptized by the Hospice Chaplain. Crystal enjoyed watching The Andy Griffith Show, arts, and crafts. She loved Mickey Mouse.
She is survived by her parents, Donald and Catherine Shuler of North Vernon; brother, Dustin Shuler of North Vernon; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Elmer Carmer, Olive Carmer Hartwell, and Hattie Kay Shepherd; and step-grandfather, Phillip "Keno" Hartwell.
A funeral service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. (noon) on Monday, August 21, 2023, at the Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North Vernon with the Rev. Dan Corbin officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. A burial will follow in the Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.
Memorials may be made in honor of Crystal through the funeral home to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Schneck Medical Center Hospice.
