Cull Andrew (C.A.) Hyatt, Jr., age 88, passed away on September 29, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born at home in Union County, NC, on July 7, 1937, to the late Cull Andrew Hyatt, Sr. and the late Myrtle Mullis Hyatt.

In 1961, C.A. married Alice Jane Price, and together they shared 52 devoted years of marriage until her passing.

C.A. graduated from Unionville High School, and later from Kings College. He faithfully served in the U.S. Army Reserves, and he retired from ATI Specialty Materials, where he worked as a Cost Analyst. A man of many talents and tireless dedication, he also operated a furniture refinishing and repair business for over 35 years and later ran a small business painting barn quilts. He also worked with Gordon Funeral Service, where his kindness and gentle presence touched many families.

He lived out his faith daily as an Elder at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church. He loved being part of the Bethlehem Praise Team and felt blessed to worship and serve alongside his church family, making a joyful noise to the Lord on his ukelele.

C.A. is survived by his four children: David Hyatt (Teka) of Marshville, NC; Daron Hyatt (Pam) of Stanfield, NC; Craig Hyatt (Michelle) of Dacula, GA; and Jane Ellen Huneycutt (Ashley) of Locust, NC. He was the proud grandfather of 12 grandchildren: Olivia Hyatt Groves, Madeline Hyatt Groves (Logan), Meredith Hyatt Barbee (David), Will Hyatt (Leah), Elizabeth Hyatt Smith (Andrew), Laura Hyatt Allapatt (Noel), Christine Hyatt, Ava Hyatt, Andrew Hyatt, Ellen Huneycutt Morton (Daniel), Rebekah Huneycutt, and Ross Huneycutt (Aryn). He was also blessed with 10 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.

In addition, he is survived by two sisters, Patsy Baucom of Monroe, NC, and Rita Deck (Bill) of Lewisville, NC, along with numerous nieces and nephews. C.A. is also survived by his beloved friend, Peggy Baucom, whose companionship brought him great joy in his later years.

C.A. lived by the words of James 1:19: “Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” He was known for his patience, kindness, and quiet witness for Christ. His legacy of love, faith, and family will live on in all who knew him.

Services will be held on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in the Family Life Center, 7608 Concord Hwy, Monroe, NC 28110. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until 2:45PM, followed by a Worship Service at 3:00PM. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family wishes to thank Tillery Compassionate Care and his Hospice nurse, Deanna, for their tender care and support.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tillery Compassionate Care, 960 N 1st St, Albemarle, NC 28001, or to The Music Fund at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, 7608 Concord Highway, Monroe, NC 28110.
