Cuman J Cropper age 84 passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday January 7, 2025, still working on the farm to which he was devoted. He was born May 7, 1940 in Deseret Utah to Cuman Cropper and Maesa Ellen (Bond) Cropper. He was married to Linda Lundberg May 19, 1965.
Cuman J grew up on the family farm and became the fifth generation to take over after beginning college at the U of U. Cuman served in the Utah National Guard with pride. He always recognized the debt we owe to those who sacrificed so much for our liberty. He was an avid book lover who treasured his ever-expanding library. Cuman J was dedicated to and tirelessly supported his seven children, doted on his 17 grandchildren, and adored the 10 great-grandchildren of the next generation.
He is survived by Linda Lundberg, Delta; children Cuman David, Deseret; Cameron Leigh (Kim), Deseret, Richmond Colby, Delta; Patricia Ann (Steve) Stewart, Washington; Rebecca Marie, Deseret; Brandon Jesse (BobiSue), South Dakota; and "Moe" Ashley Boyd (Michelle) Deseret. 17 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. Sister Linda Mae and brother Ira Lee. Preceded in death by parents Cuman Cropper and Maesa Ellen, daughter Faith Cropper, and son-in-law Shayne Cox.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday January 15, 12:30 p.m. at the Deseret-Oasis Ward Chapel, 3423 W 4500 S, Delta, Utah. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 a.m. till 12:00 p.m. Interment will be in the Deseret cemetery under the care of Olpin Stevens Funeral Home.
