Curt W. Fuhs

Curt W. Fuhs, 81, died peacefully at St. Anne Home on Monday, August 27, 2012. Born in Fort Wayne, on December 27, 1930, Curt served in the US Marine Corp. He worked as a buyer at Magnavox (where he sang as a baritone in the company chorus), then as a manager of Hobson Road Laundry, and he retired as owner of Mr. Curt's Lawn Service. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church for most of his life. A lifelong bachelor, he lived simply, saving most of what he earned to create a substantial charitable trust. Surviving are his nieces, Carol Keller, Michelle Gladieux, and nephew, Mark Gladieux. Curt was preceded in death by parents John and Marie Fuhs,sisters, Rosemary Gladieux, Dorothy Lohrbach, and brother, Johnny Fuhs. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Tuesday, September 4, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Msgr John Suelzer officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue Monday, September 03, 2012 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
