Curtis Bernard Boren, 84, of Dallas, Georgia, peacefully passed away on December 1st, 2023. Born on March 30th, 1939, in Columbus, Ga. to William L. Boren and Jewel Lucille Lee.
Known simply as “Poppa” to his grandchildren, Curtis was an avid outdoorsman enjoying such hobbies as hunting, fishing and golfing. He enjoyed gardening; an interest he inherited from his mother. He was good with his hands whether it was mechanical or wood working and on an off day, could regularly be found around his house working on his truck or fixing something around the house that needed repair. Above all, Curtis loved watching Braves baseball and Alabama Crimson Tide football. ROLL TIDE!
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his sister, Eloise; his daughter Becky; his sons, Brad, Scott and Kevin; their wives, Rainie, Jan and Daleena; his grandchildren JC, Curtis, Brandyn, Brock, Tyler, Amber and Brooke; and his 7 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William (Bill) and Leslie; and grandson Patrick.
Funeral services will be held on December 5th, 2023, at West Cobb Funeral Home (2480 Macland Rd) Marietta, Ga. 30064 @ 2:00 PM. Visitation will be from 12:00PM to 2:00PM for family and friends.
