Darrell was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Verda Hensley Carpenter; brothers, Coy, Wayland, Burl, and Jack Carpenter; sisters, Ruby Jones and Opal Krill.
Darrell is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Joyce Carpenter; son, Curtis (Leslie) Carpenter; daughter, Tammy (Tim) Wolfe; grandchildren, Whitney and Brittany Carpenter, Chaince (Angel) Harris and Summer (Brandon) Cooper; special granddaughter, Ragan Seal; great grandchildren, Carter Carpenter, Bryleigh Gulley, Ava and Tyson Cooper; sisters, Elma and Lana; brothers, Keith, Larry, and Troy.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 6, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Christian-Sells Funeral Home in Rogersville. The funeral ceremony will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Chaince Harris officiating. The graveside service will be held at 12:00 pm Monday, March 7, 2022 in Courtney Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.christiansells.com.
