CURTIS CLACKUM Obituary

Curtis Wayne Clackum, 88, of Sautee, passed away on Monday, Dec. 9, 2024.
Mr. Clackum was born on Dec. 5, 1936, in Tallapoosa, Georgia, to the late Stanley and Mabel Stephens Clackum. Wayne was a devout Christian and a former deacon. He loved reading, especially western books, and was a Clemson Tigers fan. Wayne was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and later retired from the Veterans Administration. In addition to his parents, Wayne was preceded in death by his sister, Marie Williamson.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Carrie Lee Clackum; daughter and son-in-law, Jena and Jerry Spivey; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Brandi Clackum; son, Scott Clackum; grandchildren, Samantha Taylor, Brittany Wolff, Justin Clackum, Aaron Clackum, Kendal Clackum, and Kaysen Clackum; great-grandchildren, Hadley Taylor, Edith Taylor, and Theo Wolff; and brother, Bill Clackum.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024, at Barrett Funeral Home.
