Curtis Wain Daniels of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Via Christi Harry Hynes Hospice in Wichita, at the age of 61.
He was born on July 7, 1964, in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of the late Haskel Wain and Carrie Elizabeth (Kitchens) Daniels. He was raised in Kansas City, attending local schools and graduating from Turner High School.
He was united in marriage to Susan in Joplin, Missouri. Two sons were born to this union before the marriage ended in divorce. Curtis then married Connie Radford, and they had three children before their marriage also ended in divorce. On September 9, 2002, Curtis married Lorelei May Newman in Pleasanton. Her three children became his, completing their family.
Curtis was a truck driver for many years, working for several different trucking companies throughout his career.
Quirky and endlessly curious, Curtis embraced his inner nerd. He connected with people through his great sense of humor and by sharing his unique perspective on the world. He genuinely loved teaching and learning, and his conversations often included his favorite game: dropping an unexpected fact or piece of trivia just to challenge and delight those around him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Lorelei, of the home; eight children: Jeff Daniels; Jack Daniels; Jennifer of Texas; Justin Daniels of Kansas City, Kansas; James Daniels of Kansas City, Kansas; Amber Cooksey of Hamilton, Kansas; Randall Miller; and Michael Miller, currently on mission in Peru; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Charlie Daniels of Stockton, Missouri; and Corby Daniels of Kansas City, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Haskel Daniels, Jr. and Ralph Daniels.
He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
