Curtis Dimberg Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home - Lewisville on Mar. 22, 2023.
Curtis Arthur Dimberg, 94, of Lewisville Texas passed away at home on March 9th, 2023, in Lewisville Texas. He was born June 12th, 1928, to Arthur and Edith Dimberg in Graceville, Minnesota. With the lack of able-bodied men to operate the family farm during World War II, the farm was sold and the family moved to Minneapolis. It was there in Minneapolis that he met and married the love of his life, June Yvonne Eggleston, on May 23rd, 1947.
Curt enlisted in the United States Navy and served from 1951 to 1955.
While in Minneapolis, Curtis began his career with Moore Business Forms and was with the company for most of his career. In 1962, Moore transferred him to their Park Ridge, Illinois office. The family lived in Palatine, Illinois during this time until 1974 when Moore once again transferred him to their Denton, Texas office. After many years with Moore Business Forms, Curt left the company to work for Union Camp and retired from there at the age of 62.
After his retirement, Curt and June enjoyed traveling together for many years and made a multitude of friends along the way.
Curtis was an active member of the Lions Club for many years. He helped found the New Mexico Lions KidSight program and served as its Executive Director. During this time, he personally provided thousands of eye exams for under-privileged school aged children. With the help of the Lions those in need received eye glasses and surgeries. Curt received many awards and honors from within the Lions club for his dedicated service to the community, including the prestigious Melvin Jones Fellow.
Curt was an active member of his church, where he was blessed by the fellowship and friendships he made there.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Arthur, his mother, Edith, and his wife, June.
Curtis is survived by his son, Mark and wife Lisa, his daughter, Judy and husband Joseph Lawing, grandchildren Stephanie and husband Chris Leigh, Bradley Lawing and wife Trisha, Alexandra and husband Jake Buck, and greatgrandchildren, Kai and Juliet, and June, Alexandra, and Logan.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00am, March 25, 2023 at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 740 Edmonds Lane, Lewisville, Texas with Deacon Perfecto Santiago officiating.
