Curtis John Herrera, age 38, passed away Wednesday, July 30, 2025 in Waco. A celebration of life will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 14th at Pecan Grove Funeral Home, 3124 Robinson Dr., Waco, TX. The prayer service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Curtis was born May 11, 1987 to Christine Herrera in Waco, Texas. Curtis graduated from University High School. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed attending Baylor games both Football and Basketball and was a regular at home game tailgate parties. He was known by many from Colbies corner store for his friendliness and always making a joke to brighten your day.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother Mary Louise Gonzalez and Uncle Jose Ramirez.
Curtis is survived by his sons Carson Martinez and Cason Herrera; mother, Christine Herrera of Alabama; brother, Randall and wife Courtney Herrera of Waco; grandparents, Benny and Maria Herrera of Waco; aunts and uncles, Jackie and Steven Dover of San Antonio, Alice and Eric Cuffee of Waco, Henry Paul Gonzalez, Brenda and Matt Simechak, Crystal and Chris Kitchens of Alabama and Juan J. and Monica of San Antonio; his nephews Grayson and Malcolm Herrera and to many cousins to count.
