Curtis Lee Jerry, or "Geronimo" as he often was lovingly called, took his final bow on stage of life on December 30, 2025. Born in
Auburn, Washington, on May 2, 1971, Curtis spent his 52 remarkable years in the same county, proving that you can take the man out of Auburn, but you can't take the Auburn out of the man!
Yes, Curtis was as Auburn as they come - loyal to his roots, resilient like the cedar trees, ambitious like the salmon swimming upstream, and compassionate as the soft Washington rain. Our Geronimo was a man of many hats - a proficient Security Officer, an avid fisherman, hunter, berry picker, and paracord expert by every other waking hour. His ambition shone through his dedication to his work and hobbies while his loyal and resilient nature was evident in his love for his family. Curtis was a cultural treasure trove, a knowledgeable connoisseur of Indian medicines, and a generous sharer of wisdom. Attending concerts and tuning in to music was his happy place, and his love for his kids, grandkids, and family was his compass.
Curtis is survived by his significant other, Cynthia Moses and children Thomas Isis, Alethia Jerry, Judith Jerry, Eva Jerry, and Harley McMillan-Isis. He is also survived by his father, William Wells, and his siblings Krystle Badoldman, Alyssa Wells, Ryan Sinclair, Mikki Wells, Caleb Wells, Rose Sinclair, Cerelia Sinclair, and his stepdaughters Johnelle Ramirez and Jamie Starr and 16 grandchildren. Curtis was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Jerry, and his son, Freeman Jerry. He leaves behind a legacy filled with laughter, love, and a lot of fishing tales!
In Shaker tradition, let us remember Curtis with the verse: "Put your hands to work, and your hearts to God." This perfectly captures the spirit of Curtis, a man who lived his life with kindness, resilience, and dedication. Let's celebrate Curtis's life in the same way he lived it - with love, humor, and good music.
Friends and loved ones are invited to attend a visitation service on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, at 1:00pm at Weeks' Funeral Home in Buckley, followed by a Candle Light Service upon arrival at the Muckleshoot Indian Shaker Church in Auburn with another Candle Light Service at 7:00pm . A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 10:00am, also at the Shaker Church.
We invite you to share your memories of Curtis, upload photos that capture his spirit, and join us in celebrating the life of a man who was truly one of a kind on his memorial page. We may have lost our Geronimo, but his spirit will continue to live on in our stories and hearts.
