Curtis Jordan Jones, 76, of Columbus, Georgia passed away on August 21, 2024 at Piedmont Midtown. He was born on April 24, 1948 to parents Harry Jones and Willie Mae Carter Jones.

Curtis was an entrepreneur, building his clientele through unwavering dedication and skill as a landscaper. His work was not merely a profession; it was an extension of his generous spirit. Known for his incredible work ethic, Curtis truly enjoyed the labor he did which allowed him to spend his time outdoors. Those who had the pleasure of knowing him, or working alongside him, will forever remember his commitment to excellence, not just in his craft but in the relationships he nurtured along the way.

Curtis was, above all, a kind soul. He loved people dearly and was always ready to lend a helping hand. Friends and family alike knew that he would give the shirt off his back if it meant making someone else's day a little brighter. His selflessness and compassion were woven into the very fabric of his character, inspiring those around him to embrace kindness and generosity. He was a faithful fan of the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed watching their games with his family. His passion for hard work, both in his career and personal life, taught others the value of perseverance and dedication.

Curtis leaves behind his loving sister Linda Cravens, sister-in-law Lucy M. Jones, and three generations of cherished nieces and nephews. Their lives have been immeasurably enriched by his love and kindness. Additionally, he is survived by many other friends and relatives whose lives he touched with his warm spirit.

He is reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents, along with two infant sisters and his brothers, Tommy O. Jones and Wayne C. Jones, who no doubt greeted him with open arms.

While Curtis may no longer walk among us, his legacy of kindness, hard work, and love will continue to inspire all who knew him.
