Curtis V. Krause

Curt Krause, age 79 of Naples, FL, and York Harbor, ME, passed away on Wednesday May 21st. He was preceded in death by his parents, Curt and Lonny Krauss (known to all as Opa & Oma), his sister Eleanor, and his nephew Scott. An Illinois native, Curt was born in Aurora, raised in Downers Grove, and graduated from Lincoln University. Shortly thereafter, he founded Curtis Graphics Corporation in Lisle, Illinois, acting as owner and president for 42 successful years. During this time, he became a true fixture of the local community, known for his selflessness and one of a kind laugh. He leaves behind his loving wife of 34 years, Phyllis, in addition to his beautiful sister Loraine, his best friend George, his son Kurt (a.k.a. Ty), and his sweet granddaughter Emerson. Curt was also a special uncle to Robin, Jeff, Chris, Rich, Kelly, Alison, Conrad, Alex, and several grand-nieces and -nephews, as well as a dear brother-in-law to Flip, Barbara, Pat and Susan. At a young age, Curt developed a deep love for all things automotive, starting with the Wheel Horse lawn tractor that he drove everywhere as a kid. He owned many collectible cars throughout the years, but his 1967 Ford Mustang GT Fastback was the most prized amongst them. To those who knew him best, he was the guy often found with a Tito's in hand and NASCAR on the TV, but never a grey hair on his head. Curt shared his love, generosity, and kindness with all and will be dearly missed. A private family gathering was recently held at the Palm Royale Funeral Home in Naples, FL.
