Curtis Lamm, 60, of Harvey died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the Trinity Hospital of Minot. Funeral services will be held at the First Lutheran Church, Harvey at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 8, 2023. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 7 at Hertz Funeral Home, Harvey. Burial will be in Sunnyside Cemetery, Harvey, ND.
Curtis was born on September 28, 1962 in Minot, ND to Carl and Linda (Liebelt) Lamm. He grew up in Harvey with his brother Doug and sister Sherrie. He graduated from Harvey High School in 1980. He then received his associate degree in heating and cooling from Bismarck State College. Curtis returned to Harvey where he worked alongside his father at Lamm's Sanitary Septic Service which he took over after his dad's passing. Curt and Cheryl Feickert were together for nine years and they had a daughter, Alicia. Cheryl's daughters, Shanda, Kayla and Ashley also lived in the home they built together. Curtis continued to live and work in the Harvey area.
Curtis liked to joke around. He loved most of all fishing with other hobbies or activities being it hunting, camping, bowling, or throwing darts. Anything with an engine, snowmobiles, motorcycles, 4-wheelers, dune buggy, jet skis and cars were either being fine tuned or fixed. His daughter Alicia remembers working alongside her father. She realized the difficult work he did and how good he was at it. The working trips also included stopping at the park in whatever community they worked in and dining at all the locally owned restaurants.
Curtis is survived by his daughter, Alicia Lamm of New Rockford; sister, Sherrie (Jerry) Maxwell of Roseau, MN; nephews Cole and Wrin Maxwell and niece Erica Maxwell. Curtis was preceded in death by his parents; brother Doug; niece Carlie Jae Maxwell.
