Ora Louise Lamm

A mother's love endures. Ora Louise Lamm died peacefully on 16 August, 2025. She was born in 1934 in rural West Virginia, into barefoot poverty, the only daughter with five brothers. She moved with her family to Ohio in the late 40's for better things, and those she built for herself and later her family. Loving wife to Earl of 68 years. Beloved mother to five, best grandma and great-grandma ever. Loved card games, Cleveland baseball, word puzzles, flea markets, and baking apple pies, but most of all her family, who are all devastated by the loss of our guiding light. Mom made sure her children were taught life skills. All housekeeping skills were learned while growing up in a spacious home in the suburbs. Even the boys knew how to make cookies from scratch. Vacations were a chance to learn as Mom and Dad took the family to many historic sites in the Eastern states. Mom especially enjoyed visiting the homes of our first few Presidents.

Mother was preceded in death by her husband Earl in 2020 and daughter Christine (Donald) Wagner in 2021. Children Dale (Julia) Lamm, James Lamm, Laura (Ed) Buller and Jeffrey (Debbie) Lamm survive. Nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren will have fond memories of grandma.

Mom, you encouraged, inspired, and supported us in so many ways. And you loved us. Returning that love back to you.

Family may be greeted beginning at 10 AM on Monday, August 25 at Reed Funeral Home, 801 Pittsburg Ave, North Canton. A funeral service starts at 11 AM with graveside service to follow at Henry Warstler Cemetery, 2633 55th St. NE, Canton.
