Curtis Howard Martin

Curtis Howard Martin, born July 1, 1932, son of John Henry and Annie Mae Davidson left his earthly home at the age of 93 surrounded by his loving family.
Curtis was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara "Bobbie" Martin, daughter Deborah Martin and second wife, Yvonne Martin. He was also preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters.
Curtis was an avid outdoorsman; an especially-skilled deer hunter and fisherman who enjoyed many excursions with his sons, family and friends. He left behind many fond memories and tall stories for family and friends to remember the good times.
Before retirement, Curtis was self-employed as a painting contractor. Curtis and Bobbie bowled in the Lone Star League for many years and he served as President, Vice-President and Director of the San Antonio Anglers Club for many years. He was also very proud to be a lifetime member of the Bracken Volunteer Fire Department.
Curtis is survived by his sons, Curtis, Jr. and wife Sharon; John and wife Sandy; Marty and wife Lori; daughter Jacqueline Grayson and husband Bill and daughter Candace Lowery and husband, Darien. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy Martin.
Curtis was very proud of his grandchildren: Melissa Babcock, Bradley Martin, Amy Chandler, Jason Martin, Aden Martin, Brandon Martin, William Grayson, Dale Grayson, Scott Grayson, Jonathan Gutierrez and David Gutierrez.
Great grandchildren will cherish his memory: Garrett Babcock, Jeremy Babcock, Madelyn Martin, Maycie Martin, Bryce Chandler, Blake Chandler, Jason Martin, Jr., Trenton Martin, Arianna Grayson, Jojo Grayson, Chase Grayson, Willow Grayson and Rowan Grayson.
Curtis chose to be cremated with his ashes spread across several of his favorite places. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
