Curtis Matthew

Curtis Matthew, passed away peacefully, at his home with family by his side on February 12, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on April 29, 1971, Curtis lived a life rich with adventure, love, and endless conversation.

Curtis was a passionate archer, outdoorsman, fisherman and hunter. He cherished every moment spent in nature, particularly during his memorable elk hunting trips in Washington or long sits in a treestand in Wisconsin. He could often be found sharing stories and laughter with his vast archery family and friends. He made 45-minute goodbyes a common occurrence.

Curtis was a devoted dog owner, adored by his beloved dogs, Trigger and Pepper. Together, they shared countless adventures, exploring the great outdoors and finding joy in the simple pleasures of life by the river.

Curt is survived by his wife Becky; his children, Dalton, Cheyanne, James, Jordan (Megan), and Brandon; grandchildren; Gunnar and Waylon; parents, Ron (Jamie) and Bonnie; siblings, Steve and Ryan; in-laws, Norm and Barb; and nieces Crystal (Mike) and Chelsea. 

He was preceded in death his step-dad, Stan. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. 

A visitation will be held for Curt on Saturday, February 22, 2025, 12pm-3pm at Hoff Celebration of Life center (3480 Service Dr. Winona, MN). 

Hoff Celebration of Life Center is assisting the family.
