Kenneth Walter Haeuser passed away peacefully after a long journey with Esophageal cancer on Monday February 23, 2026, at the age of 84.
He was born May 12, 1941, to Walter and Irene (Duellman) and lived in Eagle Valley his entire life on the family farm.
He graduated in 1959 from Cochrane Fountain City; his class was the first graduating class after the merger of the two communities. After high school, he attended the University of Madison Ag Short course and joined the National Guard where he assisted with the flood of 1965.
He married Lois Holubar on June 6, 1964, and together they raised 3 children.
Kenneth was a proud dairy farmer who at the age of 11, worked alongside his mother after the death of his father in a tragic logging accident. This was not easy, but he loved life on the farm and always said he wouldn’t have wanted to do anything else.
Kenneth made sure to find time to serve his community. He served on the AG Board and was instrumental in the starting of the CFC Booster Club. He also worked to help restore the Prairie Moon Museum and the beautiful Eagle Valley Church. Kenneth was proud to tell the people he met later in his life that he “was the Town of Milton Chairman for 20+ years.” He was an avid Buffalo County deer hunter who loved to cheer on the Packers! He will be remembered for his enjoyable, humorous story telling.
He is survived by his wife Lois, son Mark and daughter Marilou (Kevin) Dienger, granddaughters Mercedes Kulcinski Haeuser and Linnea Dienger, sisters Janice (Tom) Dousette and Betty Haeuser
He was preceded in death by his parents, and son, Mike.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Heights Assisted Living staff as well as Agrace Hospice for their care and support.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held later in Spring with a burial at the Eagle Valley Cemetery.
