Joyce Gloria Haeuser (nee Kertscher), age 75 of
Slinger, Wisconsin, peacefully earned her angel wings on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the Pavillion of Glacier Valley.
Joyce was born on October 20, 1950, in
West Bend, WI (along with her twin sister, Jean) to Bernice M. (nee Stemper) and Melvin Kertscher. She graduated from Random Lake High School in 1968. She was united in marriage to LeRoy C. Haeuser, their union created four children.
Joyce had such a positive presence about her and enjoyed helping others however she could. Among duties as a homemaker, she was a volunteer at Portal Programs in Grafton, WI. For a stint she operated her own cleaning business where her job was "picking up."
Joyce always treasured any time spent with her family, especially her deeply missed mother and twin sister, Jean. Her love and devotion to her family will always be remembered and carried on.
She was an extremely talented artist with natural skills in drawing and coloring. She should have been a timekeeper with the multitude of many watches she had collected over the years. She also loved and collected angels. To know her was to love her and she always wore a smile. She was positive energy and a beautiful person inside and out.
Joyce also enjoyed completing puzzles with Paula and Don and Shelly upon occasion. Joyce had a very fond love of cheering on the Green Bay Packers and watching her grandson's college football games. One time she tried to watch Sam play at Iowa Central, and she accidentally watched the game from the previous year, upon her finding out later she just laughed and laughed. Well, hey, at least she got to see yet another win!
Joyce always loved music. She listened to a great variety of music genres over the years. Her and her twin would stop the car when one of their favorite songs came on the radio, cranked up the volume, got out and danced together around their vehicle.
Joyce was genuinely loving and kind, with an exceptional heart, who never said a bad word about anyone or anything. Though unable to speak for the last few days, her family and friends were still greeted with her ever most beautiful smile that was always freely given.
Joyce is survived by her children: son, Lee Haeuser (Laura), twin daughters Paula Parkman (Donald), Shelly Gambino (Brian), and daughter-in-law, Lisa Haeuser. Her grandsons, Eric (*Tweeb*), William, Aleksander and Samuel and granddaughters Gwyneth and Bree (*Gerber Baby*). Several grand dogs and grand cats. Great grandsons, Stryker, Klaus, and Carson, Great granddaughter, Carmella Sister-in-laws, Rita, Joan and Vicki Kertcher and former husband, LeRoy C. (Lori) Haeuser. She is also further survived by her lovely best friend of 20 years, Mary Jo Roth, among other loved relatives and friends. Joyce was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Sr. "Mike", mother, Bernice (Earl); brothers, Melvin Jr., Larry, Ron, and Bobby; twin sister, Jean; son, Chuck; son-in-law, Robert Gambino; granddaughter, Emma; infant great-grandson, Ellis; and her longtime partner of many years, Jerry Feypal.
Joyce's favorite color was Blue and now she is among the Angels that she had once collected.
A Celebration of Life held by the family will take place Saturday, June 6th, 2026 and a small graveside ceremony will follow.
Remember, "it is not the quantity of time spent together, it's the quality." ~ Joyce
