Curtis Kerry McCrohan, of Dallas County, was born January 2, 1950 to Daniel and Oleta (Sullivan) McCrohan in southcentral New Mexico and passed away July, 28, 2025 in Dallas, TX with his family by his side. He was the second of five children.

After finishing high school, Curtis served the Army in Vietnam for his four years earning a Bronze Star Medal of Honor. He worked eight years in the Federal Prison System teaching furniture making and repairing. He then worked 2 years in construction for Brown & Root in Glen Rose, Texas. Curtis became a Master Licensed Plumber and spent the next 39 years in that trade working for himself, United Mechanical and the Richardson and Plano ISD's before retiring, after he learned he had cancer, at 70 years of age in 2020.

Both Curtis' brothers passed from his same diagnosis and he chose to forgo the treatments they suffered from and enjoyed his remaining years with a decent quality of life living for others and his creator.

Curtis has two children whom he loved dearly; Todd (Jeanette) McCrohan of Leonard, TX and Tracy (Billy) Parsons of Wildwood, MO.

In 1999, Curtis made an earnest and sincere profession to serve God the rest of his life which he faithfully fulfilled. He was baptized in 2000 and his chief joy in life was to attend weekly home-based bible studies and fellowship/worship meetings, go to gospel meetings, and attend annual special meetings and conventions.

Curtis took care of his mother for 11 years until her death and then continued taking care of his youngest sister Retha. Curtis also loved to fish, feed the wildlife around his house and help others with their plumbing. He was a truly generous person.

Curtis is survived by his sister Retha McFarland, his children; Todd (Jeannette) McCrohan and Tracy (Billy) Parsons, grandchildren; Ashlie (Austin) Carroll, Kaitlyn McCrohan, Brittany (Kyle) Masten, Chloe (Garrett) Carpenter, Clay (Samatha) Morse, Colby Morse, Taylor (Tanner) Dahlgreen, Preston (Kaylee) Carrington, and Zachary Carrington; and aunts; Joan Smith and Genell Turner, and many cousins, nieces, nephews and a host of friends who will greatly miss him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather; Bobby Satterwhite, brothers; Emmett and Lecil, and sister; Ruth.
