Curtis Lee Nicolaides, 79, of Pocahontas, IL, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2026, at his residence.
He was born on September 9, 1946, in Cairo, Illinois, to Melvin and Shirley (nee McNeill) Nicolaides.
Curtis worked for a newspaper in St Louis for several years typing as much as 110 words a minute. He then moved to Cincinnati, where he worked at Quest.
He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Shirley Nicolaides; his brothers Rodney, and Jay Nicolaides.
Curtis is survived by his daughter Shellee; brother Neill (Janet) Nicolaides of Highland IL.; sister Rose Nicolaides of North Carolina; two grandchildren Taylor, and Emmerson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Private services are scheduled.
