Curtis Schoonover Obituary
Curtis graduated from Wichita North High School. There he was on the wrestling team and competed in State finals. He maintained several friendships from this team.
Curtis received his associate degree from Pratt Community College with an emphasis on business. While there he began body building. He was proud of winning awards in couples and singles divisions of the Kansas Body Building competition.
Curtis went on to start his own business laying tile and other flooring. When this trade was no longer viable for him, he went to Wichita State University to earn his bachelor's degree.
Curtis was preceded in death by his step-nephew, Bryce Mosier; sister, Cindy; and mother, Lois. He is survived by family members: Rose Carrell, Cecil (Martha) Schoonover, Clinton (Patty) Schoonover, Clifton Schoonover, Cheryllynn (Russ) Schoonover, many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.
There are no services scheduled at this time. Donations may be made in his memory to Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
