Curtis Junior Street

Mr. Curtis Junior Street, age 65, of Raven, Virginia passed away Tuesday (November 18, 2025) at his home. Born February 21, 1960 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Dallas Proffitt and Hattie Viola Street. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled carpenter. He was of the Holiness faith and was a member of Highlands Chapel Church in Abingdon, Virginia. He enjoyed playing the Hammond organ and his guitar, building, gardening, and attending church, but most of all spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers and sisters-in-law, Arnold Street and wife, Betty, John Street and wife, Delores, and Harley Street and wife, Maudie, a special aunt and uncle, who helped raise him, James and Mary Street, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and Virginia Cordle.

Survivors include his wife of thirty-nine years, Tammy Lynn Street; one daughter, Tiffany Street and fiancé, Kenneth Cordill of Raven; two grandchildren, Emma Carol Street and Brantley Michael Meadows; four siblings, Gracie Garrison and Anita Justus of Honaker, and Geneva Justus and Jimmy Lee Street and wife, Alice of Lebanon; sisters-in-law, Sue Street and Rhonda Street; special friend, Bro. Tommy Dye; several nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law also survive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Ultra Health and Hospice, especially, Tangie Scarberry, for the loving care they provided.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Tommy Dye and Rev. Paul Vandyke officiating. Interment will follow in Russell Memorial Cemetery at Lebanon, Virginia.

Pallbearers will be Kenneth Cordill, Jason Cordill, Jace Donley, Blaken Justus, D.J. Cordle, and Zachary Dotson.

The family will receive friends after 6 PM Thursday at the Honaker Funeral Home, where an evening song service will be conducted at 7 PM.
