Wanace Kyle Breeding

Mr. Wanace Kyle Breeding, age 91, of Lebanon, Virginia passed away Wednesday (November 19, 2025) in Lebanon. Born December 22, 1933 in the Hurricane Creek section of Buchanan County, Virginia, he was a son of the late Elihue Roscoe and Iskey Presley Breeding. He had spent most of his life in the area and was a self-employed carpenter and mechanic. He enjoyed reading his Bible and loved music, especially playing the fiddle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Stepp Breeding; one son, Ray Anthony "Tony" Breeding; two brothers, Earnie Breeding and Edsel Breeding; and two sisters, Nadine Breeding and Evelyn Breeding.

Survivors include five children, Barbara Brock of Spartanburg, South Carolina, Sandra Compton and husband, Buck of Lebanon, Wayne Breeding, and Kim Cheatham and husband, Bruce all of Hendersonville, North Carolina, and Brenda Tolson of Camden, Ohio; five grandchildren, Justin Breeding, Amos Tolson, Kendra Cheatham, Chance Cheatham, and Chelsea Sartin; six great-grandchildren, Aiden Tolson, Ryleigh Sartin, Liam Sartin, Brianna Parris, Kimber Parris, and Levi Parris; eight siblings, Jama Compton, Newacca Morene "Moe" Vandyke, Drema Ray and husband, Leck, Virginia Money, Vonda Wilkerson and husband, Paul, Keithel Breeding, Rannie Breeding, and Harliss Breeding and wife, Mickey; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted at 12 Noon Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Billy Harris officiating. Interment will follow in the Breeding Cemetery at Davenport, Virginia.

Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM – 12 PM Monday at the funeral home.
