September 11, 1939 - October 11, 2025
Curtis Tosten Thoreson, 86, of Wanamingo, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Curt was born on September 11, 1939. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps before returning home to build a life rooted in hard work and family. A dedicated dairy and land farmer, Curt took great pride in caring for his animals and the land he loved.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Thoreson; daughters Lisa Cooper (Todd, and their son Luke), Krissa Thoreson, and Holly Sessions (son Cole).
Curt will be remembered for his love of the Lord, his gentle spirit, strong work ethic, and deep devotion to his family.
A visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 25th at Wanamingo Lutheran Church, with lunch to follow. Memorials are preferred to Wanamingo Lutheran Church.

Back when they were married on a very stormy day, my husband Duane Lexvold at that time was at their small wedding at the Wanamingo Lutheran church before returning to California where we had to be back on duty in the Navy. We visited many times over the years enjoying each other´s company. The last time we visited on our front porch in Wanamingo on a sunny beautiful day when my husband Harris Wallaker and I enjoyed being together with our dear friends Curtis and Sharon.
