Curtis L. Williams, age 83, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025 at his residence in Prattville, Alabama.

Curtis was a member of The Way, The Truth and The Life Christian Center in Decatur, Georgia, where he was a member for over 20yrs. In 2016, Curtis was ordained an Elder in the church. His love of the ministry lead him to travel to Zona Maya, Mexico, serving as a missionary sharing the gospel. During those 20 years, he also served as lead over the prison ministry and helped lead the Elder Board.

Mr. Williams was a retired Executive from K-Mart Corporation with 43 years of service. During his time with K-Mart, he invented the blue-light special and was successful implementing an inventory management system that increased profit margins significantly. He was instrumental with many small businesses helping them get their start contract with K-Mart.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alice Williams; brothers, Earl Williams and Roy Williams; and stepdaughter, Daphne Harris.

Curtis is survived by his children, Toney Williams, Stacey Williams (Debra) and Tracey Mulkey (Shannon); nine grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved friends.

Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 4, 2025 at the Sosebee Memorial Chapel with Apostle Ulysses Tuff and Pastor Stacey Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 3rd from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour.
